Evening reader,

As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to pause with you.

New Year’s Eve can bring many different feelings. For some, it holds celebration, hope, or relief. For others, it can stir sadness, grief, disappointment, or quiet exhaustion. Many people experience a mix of all of these. However this evening meets you, your experience is welcome here.

Tonight is not about endings done perfectly, nor beginnings clearly planned. It is simply a moment to arrive together at the end of the year, just as you are.

With warmth,
The Surrey Centre Team

Honouring and Letting Go

As this year draws to a close, you might notice there are things you are ready to release from 2025. This could be a pattern, an expectation, a belief, or a weight you have been carrying for some time. Letting go does not need to be dramatic or complete. Sometimes it is simply naming what no longer serves you and allowing it a little less space.

You may also notice what you want to carry forward. Not as a resolution or demand, but as something steady or meaningful that supported you through the year.

There is no right way to do this. Even a quiet acknowledgement is enough.

With Our Thanks

As we close this year, we want to offer our heartfelt gratitude.

To our clients and their families, thank you for your trust, courage, and openness.
To the professionals we work alongside, thank you for your collaboration and care.
To our therapy team at The Surrey Centre, thank you for your compassion, dedication, and commitment.
And to all those we will meet and work with in 2026, we look forward to walking alongside you.

It is a privilege to do this work together.

A Closing Thought as we Step Gently into 2026 Together

As this year comes to an end, there is no need to rush into the next one with answers, plans, or expectations. 2026 does not need to be met with certainty or momentum. It can be entered slowly, with care, and in your own way.

The end of the year is not a measure of success or progress. It is an invitation to meet yourself with honesty, compassion, and kindness. To acknowledge what has been lived, and to recognise the strength it took to arrive here.

We will continue to walk alongside you, offering space for reflection, support, and growth as the year ahead unfolds.
As we step into the new year together, we offer this gentle thought:
“I honour all that this year has held, and I step into the next with gentleness and support.”
