Anxiety

As with depression, anxiety is experienced by most people at some time in their lives, especially when in life-changing, uncertain or challenging situations such as changing jobs, interviews, exams or during difficult times in a relationship.

However, if you are experiencing these feelings on a more constant basis and they start interfering with other aspects of your life then you may want to seek help.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Am I constantly ‘on edge’, fearful or worried?
  • Are my worries and fears irrational?
  • Do I experience panic attacks or heart-pounding panic?
  • Do I live in a constant state of tension?

If your feelings of anxiety are becoming so extreme that they are causing you distress then you may want to seek professional help.
